Paint Workshops & Commissions

My father, Ted Syrette (baa) and my aunt, Roseanna McCoy (baa) were artists. Both encouraged me to pursue creative expressions as a child. This included visual art and writing. Later on, theatre and performance would be sought after.

I began painting during COVID. This was a response to the 215 children, located at the residential school site in Kamloops, British Columbia. My family has been impacted by the residential school era/. So it was important to a choose positive outlet to process this hurt: Art.

Hybrid painting-workshops, which combines painting and knowledge sharing, can be booked for any ages or topic matter. Workshop topics include, Residential Schools and Truth and Reconciliation, 2Spirit LGBTQQIA+ 101, and Mental Health: Coping and Harm Reduction.

I currently rent and art space called Studio 3 in a art gallery called the Artesian. February 2023

Individual paintings can be commissioned. Size, colours and styles can all be negotiated.
