Ozhawa Anung | Teddy Syrette is a humorous advocate and artist living in their/her/his home territory of Bawating. Ozhawa is a 2Spirit Anishnabe person from Rankin Reserve of Batchewana First Nation. Teddy's gender is seasonal and their sexuality is always. If you don't like what Oz wears, don't wear it. Ozhawa Anung is a motivational speaker, workshop facilitator and drag performer. Set with many skills and master of none, they/she/he will delight many, intrigue others, and probably piss off the rest. General speaking notes include First Nation and 2SLGBTQQIAP+ rights, awareness and inclusivity. Teddy also speaks about their family's relationship with Residential Schools and the coping/healing mechanisms. Their background includes social work, community development, performance and visual art. Today, Teddy lives in Bawating, close to their family home of Rankin Reserve.
