Land is what we want and freedom.
A freedom that so many take for granted.
Priding ourselves for what is right.
Handed down to us by our forefathers to keep us free.
Snobbish are we when we tell others of what we have.
But we get pissy if we need to share it with others.
Already letting our systems fail children who leave behind swaying little bodies, as other little bodies wash along shorelines afar.
Folks think that if we let others in, who clutch onto life boats and olive branches, that they won’t speak our languages, not believe in our God, take our jobs, steal our land, take away our culture, our way of life, rape our women, assimilate our children and kill our warriors with battles and biological warfare.
Wait, no.
That was colonialism.
My bad.
